Luckily the rain stopped and the power came back on just in time to shower, eat dinner, and head to the levee. We watched the USS KIDD reenactment (they shoot off cannons and guns and fake bombs and planes fly by and do a fake attack).

Little sisters come in handy every now and then . . . like when you want someone to feed you a pina colada italian ice.
When the fireworks started, I realize how happy fireworks make me. They are just so beautiful. I'm a big fan.
I'm proud to be an American.
